The Scole Experiments

Between the years of 1993-1998 Two couples (Alan & Diana Bennett and Sandra & Robin Foy) attempted to prove to the world that there is life after death. Some say they did prove these things but others are not as convinced.

Two times a week in total darkness, for five years, in a cellar, they attempted to make contact with the other side and they managed to manifest many curiosities in the process.

Their main focus was to communicate with the spirits and manifest tangible objects as well as lights, sounds, tastes, smells and sensations such as being touched. They hoped that they would produce so much evidence that it would be irrefutable.

Some such evidence they gathered are random images, faces, handwritten messages and symbols that would appear on unopened factory sealed 35mm photographic film (before the years of mainstream digital photography). They and other researchers would witness lights and solid beings materialize. The spirits gave instructions for how to build communication devices, how to conduct their seances for best communication. As well as the usual disclosure of personal information of those present.

They feared their findings would not be taken seriously so they arranged for their sessions to be monitored by scientists and paranormal investigators from the Society for Psychical Research.

These investigators where allowed to inspect the cellar before and after the experiments. This included making sure that all pockets were emptied and personal belonging were left outside of the room and the only way in or out of the room was kept locked at all times.

As the experiments went on they invited more experts to come and investigate their claims.

Many skeptics are quick to point out that many of the controls in the experiments were not adequate. Such as luminous Velcro wristbands had not been checked before the experiments and were supplied by the mediums themselves and could have been easily slipped off. Some of the Actual footage captured during these readings do seem to look much like special effects from the 1980's but despite the controversy the possibility that this is actually evidence of another dimensions/life after death is tantalizing.
